Brenna's gingerbread houses

Jan 17, 01:57 PM

Brenna is a Craft Girl. Period. She loves to do crafts; whenever she has nothing to do – she does something crafty. She draws, cuts things out, writes letters, whatever is artsy, and crafty.

So, Betsy started on the gingerbread houses her and her mom used to make for Christmas when she was little. Of Course Brenna was right by her side the whole time. Brenna really wanted to help – but Betsy wanted to make sure they were done nicely so told Brenna just to watch.

Brenna started planning. She sat next to Betsy while she put the houses together, constantly reminding Betsy that she was ready to do one. So after 3 houses were constructed Brenna convinced mom that she could do it. Brenna did the Rest.

Betsy started putting the shell pattern on the houses; I think Betsy got one done before Brenna convinced mom that she could handle it. Brenna did the Rest.

And so on and so forth, until the finial decorations – windows, doors, plants, roofing everything Brenna did herself. All the while Broc and Breyson ran throughout the house yelling, and screaming.

I think it took Brenna about 3 afternoons to finish them all, but she did. She never got bored, never hurried through, never tried to rush, never wanted to be done; and do something else. And I think she did a great job.
